Biography

My interest in massage began when I was
a 12 year old living in Japan, a place where
massage is part of daily life. I discovered
Aston-Patterning in 1981 at a Boulder,
Colorado, student workshop.

I had chronic back pain due to childhood
hip joint problems. I swam frequently, did
daily exercises, and went to a chiropractor,
but nothing helped for long. Most irritating
was the fact that I could never get my day
pack to fit comfortably.

After completing this workshop—and receiving
some movement education and a taste of three
types of bodywork—I put on my day pack
to leave and discovered it fit perfectly!
More importantly, it continued to fit as
long as I owned it.

That day, I learned my case is not unusual.
Most clients notice significant and lasting
improvement in how they look and feel
in just a few sessions.
